Ready to Blast off! 🚀📏

In our final Try Five+ workshop of 2024–2025, students reached for the skies—literally! We wrapped up the series with an exciting journey into the world of rockets and Newton’s Third Law of Motion.

Through hands-on demonstrations and real-life examples, students discovered how “every action has an equal and opposite reaction” helps rockets soar. Then it was time to put theory into action: students designed and built their own paper rockets, learning how cones and fins affect flight.

Students launched their rockets under the supervision of the tutors. Using our custom-built measuring tools, we tracked how high each rocket flew—some went as high as 30 to 40 meters! There was excitement, laughter, and a whole lot of STEM in the air.

This workshop was a powerful (and high-flying!) way to end our Try Five+ series, and we couldn’t be prouder of how curious, collaborative, and courageous our young space explorers have been throughout the year. 🚀✨ A huge Congratulations to all the wonderful teachers and pupils for completing this STEM journey – What an achievement! 👏

A huge thank you to all the teachers, school staff, and parents who have supported this program, and to our amazing student participants who brought so much energy, creativity, and enthusiasm to every session. We’re also incredibly grateful to our tutors from TU Dublin and Workday for their time and patience. Last but not least, a special thank you to our funder— this journey into STEM learning would not have been possible without you.
