✨2025-2026: Think like a scientist & microscopy🔬

We are so excited to start another year of Try Five+ with our new coordinator Qingxiang Yang, and both 4th and 5th class! Our first workshop of the year with 4th class, Think Like a Scientist, was full of curiosity, laughter, and discovery! 🎉

Different from last year, students kicked off by choosing their own roles and work as a team – scientists always work together!🤝 And we played a Guess Who game to challenge their stereotypes about scientists.

Next, students built LEGO bridges following the steps of scientific method: observing, questioning, hypothesising, testing, and drawing conclusions. 🧩🧠 It was exciting to see them experiment, troubleshoot, and celebrate each mini-success together.

Finally, kids use microscopes to find and share favourite images in everyday objects. We are so proud of their creativity, curiosity, and teamwork!

This workshop helped them see science in a new way, understand the importance of collaboration, and start thinking like scientists. We can’t wait to see their creativity in the following workshops! 🚀 A huge thank you to our funders for making this inspiring experience possible:
