Across the week, teachers will try out practical activities for themselves, including terrariums, simple electronics, maths-through-art and rocket building. The course also looks at how to plan for inclusion from the start, so that more pupils can take part, feel included and succeed. There is a strong focus on low-cost teaching ideas, teacher confidence, and making the curriculum feel real and relevant for students. Participants will also explore useful planning tools, reflect on their own practice, and consider how small changes can support improvement in their classrooms and schools.
By the end of the course, teachers will leave with classroom-ready ideas, practical resources, and a clearer sense of how to teach STEM in ways that are engaging, manageable and meaningful.
